Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) of concrete may incorporates several scientific methods to evaluate concrete structures without causing damage to that concrete structure. This is most important to insure the integrity of the concrete structure and also to save money on expensive concrete cutting and subsequent rectification.

Concrete Diagnostics can perform a number of Non-Destructive Test methods on concrete such as;

Non-Destructive Testing - Concrete Scanning

Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR), is a safe and quick Non- Destructive Test method that can locate embedded objects and voids within and under concrete structures.

Covermeter, is a Non-Destructive Test method that can determine concrete cover to the reinforcing steel.

Schmidt Hammer, is a Non-Destructive Test method to estimate the compressive strength of concrete cylinders or search for areas of varying strength for further investigation.

Impact Echo (IE), is a Non-Destructive Test method that uses compression waves to determine the thickness of concrete slabs with minimal interference from reinforcement bars (unlike GPR). This Non-Destructive Test method can also be used for voids and defect location.

Ultrasonic Pulse Velocity (UPV), is a Non-Destructive Test method that uses sound waves and time of flight for the detection of honeycombing, voids and changes in concrete density.
